When the tears hit the floor
I knew you wouldn't be coming back
All those nights together
Were all for this point
We wouldn't last forever
And now that fate is calling you
I won't keep you here
When I know you need to go
Don't look back at me
When you set out on that path
I don't want to see the look in your eyes
When you cry one last tear for me
We'll meet up some day later
In a cheap café
We'll have a drink and share old stories
Just to keep up with time
Than we'll separate once again
But this time it will be easier
Because we have that cheap café
To go back to in our times of need
When we're much older
We'll share stories of our vast adventures
Tell me about your trip to France
And how was Italy?
When the tears hit the floor
I knew you wouldn't be coming back
All those nights together
Were all for this pint
Don't look back at me
When you set out to sea
I don't to see the look in your eyes
When you cry one last tear for me
We'll meet up some day later
In a cheap café in the middle of nowhere
We'll have a drink and share old stories
Just to keep up with time
I dream of the days
When we won't separate on the sidewalk
You'll walk home with me
And we'll stay together for just one night
I know you'll leave in the morning
But just give me that one night
To feel your love again
Just for this night
We'll meet up some day later
In a cheap café near home
We'll have a drink and laugh about the past
Just because we've missed those times
Maybe this time
We'll sit until the sun goes down
And we'll go back home
Just to stare at the stars
When the tears hit the floor
I know you wont be staying long
But this night is all I needed
Because now I understand
That I want you to look back at me
When you set out on that path
So I can see your smile
One last time
We'll meet up some day later
In a cheap café
We won't go inside this time
We'll just take that once long path
All the way to our home
When the tears hit the floor
I knew you would be coming back

I'll Love You Even In Death
Her hand tightens on mine
As I kiss her into the bed.
Her mouth is parted,
Inviting me in.
She's never acted this way before.
Always alone, always sulking.
But now she's opened up
She's shown me her scars, her tears.
I lick her neck right under the chin
She squirms under me, sighing for more.
But I don't.
Laying down besides her,
I kiss her on the head.
She may pout in protest,
But I just pull her closer.
Until she's wrapped in my arms.
She fits me, like a puzzle piece.
I'm not ever letting her go,
Not even if she dies.

Breaking free
Once upon a time you loved me forever,
so long ago though I can not remember;
Jealousy killed your romantic speech,
you drained me like an emotional leech.
You wanted to open up my wicked chest,
pop the hatch and set my demons loose,
I tried to love you, I did my very best,
yet you hung me with a spiteful noose.
Point your condemnatory finger at me,
I will set my words on fire so you can see,
look at me with your judgemental eye,
what you inveigh I will not deny.
I will be your embodiment of sin,
your personification of evil,
I will say it with a wicked ass grin,
just fuel my angry upheaval.
Pick at emotional scabs until they

Overdue
i don't want to be human,
because then i wouldn't have
emotions for you to trample
and hopes for you to burn.
(i know you can't catch
smoke in a bottle,
but i tried anyways.)
i don't want to be human,
because then i wouldn't have
a body for you to strike
or a will for you to break.
(my fingers are all
bloodied from trying
to pick up the pieces.)
i don't want to be human,
because then i wouldn't have
a heart
for you to steal.
(sometimes,
i hope you're just
borrowing it.)
